Sophie Carroll-Hunt is an illustrator and printmaker based in Longford, Ireland.
She graduated with a BA Hons in Visual Arts Practice from IADT in 2016, where she worked with various art mediums, but primarily focused on printmaking techniques such as woodblock and screen printing to produce large scale prints, artists books and zines.
Since graduating, she’s been a member of Black Church Print Studio and has taken various workshops in photo etching, risograph and relief printing to further her technical skills. Her work combines aspects of digital illustration and traditional printmaking techniques, which are often defined by bold lines, bright colours and playful repeating motifs.
Sophie often facilitates print based workshops and collaborates on various creative projects to create playful and engaging environments.
Her work has been exhibited in Rua Red, The Library Project, SO Gallery and Pallas Projects.
